How to upgrade M7076-X540-2T to support UEFI mode


1.      Install M7076-X540-2T at OCP slot of motherboard. (ex. S7106)
2.      Boot up S7106 and enter BIOS setting screen
3.      Set BIOS -> Advanced -> PCI Configuration -> Above 4G Decoding from “Enabled” to “Disabled”.
4.      Boot up S7016 to DOS mode.
5.      Type bootutil and press enter to check EEPROM status of M7076-X540-2T

6.      Type bootutil –nic=3 –fe to start EEPROM upgrade status.
7.      Type bootutil –nic=3 –up=pxe+efi to set first LAN port to support PXE and UEFI function.

8.      If you need second LAN port support PXE and UEFI function. Type bootutil –nic=4 –fe to start EEPROM upgrade status
9.      Type bootutil –nic=4 –up=pxe+efi to set second LAN port to support PXE and UEFU function.
10.  Reboot S7106 to DOS mode and type bootutil to check M7076-X540-2T EEPROM status.

11.  Set BIOS -> Advanced -> PCI Subsystem -> Above 4G Decoding from “Disabled” to “Enabled”.
12.  Set BIOS -> Advanced -> CSM Configuration -> Network from “Legacy” to “UEFI”.
13.  Set BIOS -> Advanced -> Network Stack Configuration -> Network Stack from “Disabled” to “Enabled”.
14.  Set BIOS -> Advanced -> Network Stack Configuration -> Ipv4 PXE Support “Disabled” to “Enabled”.
15.  If your network is IPv6 environment, set BIOS -> Advanced -> Network Stack Configuration -> Ipv4 PXE Support “Disabled” to “Enabled”.
16.  Press “F4” to save and exit BIOS setting.
17.  Reboot S7106, then S7106 can support UEFI mode with M7076-X540-2T.
